Joining the loss adjusting team in Australia means you’ll have the opportunity to grow your experience working on a range of complex and specialty claims, such as Property – Major and Complex Loss and Commercial, Construction and Engineering, Marine, Liability and Strata. Australian adjusters gain extensive experience dealing with flood, fire, cyclone and various other claim types.

The Roles
We are hiring experienced Executive Loss Adjustersand Senior Loss Adjusters to join our team, with both short term and permanent opportunities available for eligible candidates.
The role of Executive Loss Adjuster or Senior Loss Adjuster is responsible for examining insurance losses to establish the cause, liability and quantum, with the customer and client at the centre of everything you do.
We are looking for Executive Loss Adjustersand Senior Loss Adjusters with 5 - 10 years’ major and complex loss and commercial loss adjusting experience.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES may include
Manage an assigned claims portfolio, from first advice to settlement, leveraging Sedgwick’s tools and processes
Determine the cause and extent of loss via the most appropriate investigation method, and assign loss coverage per client’s insurance policy
Review scope of work and schedules of loss to ensure applicability, and calculate the cost of repair and/or replacement
Project-manage damaged property remediation including emergency repairs with appropriate experts (builders, trades, technical services)
Continuously communicate claim status, findings and solutions with the client and customer
Prepare and issue final report per required timeline
Work collaboratively with other Sedgwick colleagues to provide an exceptional claims experience and deliver compliant loss adjusting services that meet or exceed the client’s service standards
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & licensing: Associate of AICLA for 5+ years; ANZIIF fellowship or university degree or an equivalent international qualification
Skills: expertise in full insurance claims lifecycle including the legislative framework, applicable codes and products, knowledge of administrative hearings and litigation processes
Experience: 5 - 10 years as an Executive or Senior Loss Adjuster within either Property - Major and Complex loss or commercial marine, liability, construction and Engineering or Strata
