The Buttery is a not-for-profit addiction and mental health organisation established in 1973. They deliver evidence-based long and short-term residential rehabilitation and outreach programs to support people living with alcohol, substance misuse and mental health conditions to achieve recovery and rebuild their lives.The Buttery’s community outreach services cover vast areas of the NSW Mid-North Coast and Northern Rivers Regions with this role being based out of their Nimbin hub.About the role :
As the Clinical Lead, you will lead a small team to provide Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) focused person-centred, trauma-informed support. You will be responsible for the implementation, clinical competency, and ongoing review of the Nimbin Hub program and support Community Development Officers in the Community Drug Action Teams (CDAT) program.This position operates onsite from the hub based in the Nimbin Neighbourhood and Information Centre and works closely with the neighbourhood centre staff. The specialist AOD treatment program can include harm reduction, prevention, counselling, case management and psychosocial services.To be successful you will have:
- University level qualifications or higher in Counselling, Mental Health Nursing, Social Work or Psychology with membership of a peak body such as AHPRA, AASW, ACA or PACFA.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in delivery of AOD, mental health and suicide prevention services providing trauma-informed care, brief interventions and counselling for persons with complex support needs.
- Demonstrated experience in program implementation and evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating group sessions.
- Demonstrated experience managing staff and small programs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate as part of team.
- Current and valid Driver's Licence, a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check, current COVID-19 vaccination and First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
