Ohana For Youth is a growing, respected and innovative charity based in Southeast Queensland that provides secondary education and support programs to young people.
Ohana for Youth supports two innovative Special Assistance Schools - Arcadia College at Robina and Ohana College at Meadowbrook.
As the Executive Officer to the CEOand Board Chair at Ohana for Youth Ltd, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to the CEO and Board Chair, supporting various Boards within the organisation, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the Ohana for Youth office. Your key relationships will include internal parties such as the CEO, Board Chair, Board Members, Chief Human Resource Officer, Principals, and School Managers, as well as external entities like ACNC, NSSAB, ASIC, and other regulators.
This position will be based in Varsity Lakes 5 days per week, with some travel between school campuses as required.
Key Responsibilities /Selection Criteria:
- Maintain Board policies and registers
- Prepare agendas, take minutes, and proofread documents
- Provide personal assistance to the CEO and Board Chair, including managing calendars and making travel arrangements
- Support internal committees with administrative tasks
- Provide administrative support to the Ohana for Youth office, including answering phones and managing correspondence
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements from ACNC, NSSAB, ASIC, and other regulators
Mandatory Requirements:
- Excellent written and communication skills
- High level of competency in a range of Software packs (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom)
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Clear Australian Federal Police check and Blue Card (P)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Preferred)
- Paid Working with Children Blue Card
- Valid Qld Driver's Licence
- Experience in Corporate Governance with diverse Boards
