About the Role
As the Executive Officer to the Mayor, you will provide executive support to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Mayor's office.
You will also be a key member of the Office of the CEO, where you will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team, to deliver positive outcomes for the local community.
This role reports directly to the Manager Office of the CEO.
Key Accountabilities
- Proactively coordinate and prioritise a range of functions for the Mayor, including the Mayor’s schedule, appointments, correspondence and representations from a range of stakeholders.
- Research, collate and provide information for the Mayor to support informed decision making and planning.
- Case manage Mayoral requests in collaboration with the Office of the CEO.
- Create and maintain excellent collaborative relationships across the organisation to achieve outcomes.
- Coordinate and lead special projects, Mayoral events and functions, collaborating closely with the Office of the CEO and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure the sourcing and preparation of high-quality speeches for the Mayor, align with their key messages and objectives.
- Manage relevant policy matters as they relate to the Mayor, including Councillor Expenses and facilities, public interaction and media policy requirements.
- Apply a business improvement mindset to proactively streamline systems, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency, and drive operational excellence within the Office of the Mayor.
