As a Gym-Based Exercise Physiologist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, developing personalized exercise programs, and guiding individuals through safe and effective workouts. Your primary goal will be to improve clients' overall fitness levels, enhance sports performance, and assist in the management of chronic conditions. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive health screenings and fitness assessments
- Designing and implementing individualized exercise programs based on clients' goals and needs
- Providing guidance and supervision during exercise sessions to ensure proper technique and safety
- Monitoring and tracking clients' progress, making adjustments as necessary
- Educating clients on exercise principles, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications for optimal health
- Collaborating with other fitness professionals and healthcare providers to develop integrated wellness plans
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Exercise Physiology
- Previous experience working in a gym or fitness setting is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and exercise prescription
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Cert IV in Fitness
- First Aid/CPR
