The Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated Exercise Physiologist to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. As an Exercise Physiologist at Noosa Physiotherapy Centre, you will play a crucial role in empowering our clients to improve their quality of life through personalized exercise programs and lifestyle modifications.
Working alongside a team of highly experienced physiotherapists, remedial massage therapists, and podiatrists, you will facilitate the following services:
- Both classes and individual appointments
- Medicare Team Care Arrangements
- Type 2 Diabetes support
- NDIS
- DVA
- Sports recovery
- Surgical rehabilitation
- Post Physio rehabilitation
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their exercise needs, capabilities, and limitations.
- Develop individualized exercise prescriptions and treatment plans based on assessment findings, medical history, and treatment goals.
- Implement and supervise exercise interventions, monitoring patients' progress and adjusting programs as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, physiotherapists, podiatrists, occupational therapists, psychologists and dieticians, to provide integrated care and support to patients.
- Educate patients about the importance of regular physical activity, proper exercise techniques, and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessment findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in exercise physiology and a passion for working with people. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing exercise programs tailored to the unique needs of our patients, helping them achieve optimal health outcomes and improve their quality of life.
Additionally, you possess:
- Current registration with ESSA
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Experience working in paediatric care settings highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of physiology, growth, and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with others.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
