About the role:
The Exhibition Sales Assistant provides the Exhibition Sales Department with operational and administrative assistance for the Sale of space on the Brisbane Showgrounds for the Royal Queensland Show (Ekka). Assisting with the processes of logistical and administrative documentation of all exhibitors.

Here at the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland (RNA) we are experiencing a period of exceptional growth post COVID that is transforming our iconic establishment into a state of the art precinct. Home to the Royal Queensland Show (Ekka), as well as an array of cultural events - our transformation has seen the Brisbane Showgrounds becoming the hub of a new mixed-use precinct with the centrepiece being the Five Star Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC).
The successful candidate will commence as soon as possible and will work through until the 30th August 2024.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide administrative assistance to the Exhibition Sales Coordinator and the Senior Exhibition Sales Coordinator, including clerical tasks, filing and data entry.
- Effectively communicate with internal & external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
- Assist with the set-up and operation during the Ekka period.
- Answer general Exhibitor enquiries
- Manage Leasing Email Inbox
- Collect, check and file Exhibitor documentation
- Collate returned License Agreements to be signed by Managers
- Print Leasing Maps as requested
- Collect information and extract reports from the CLAS application system
- Pull various reports from Ungerboeck
- Follow up outstanding Exhibitor documentation
- Communicate to Exhibitors using mail merge
- Prepare Exhibitor pass packs for printing
- Prepare information Exhibitor Info Board by location
- Take photos of every outlet during show then file and print

Desirable/Advantageous Skills:
- Minimum 2-3 years in an administration support capacity.
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Understanding of the nature of large scale events.
- Customer service focus and genuine desire to assist internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Excellent time management.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Excellent understanding of financial acumen highly desired but not necessary.
