Exhibitions Coordinator - Revealed – Fremantle Arts Centre
Fixed term (6 months) part-time, 15 hours per week
Salary: $69,626 - $83,905 per annum pro rata + 11% super

Fremantle Arts Centre is a major multi-disciplinary contemporary arts organisation in Western Australia.  Housed in an extraordinary gothic heritage building and lush leafy grounds, our annual program includes contemporary visual arts exhibitions, a diverse range of multi-disciplinary performance, music and conversations. FAC supports a unique artist in residence program, extensive arts learning workshops and is home to a café and the FOUND shop – celebrating the highest quality creations of WA makers.   

Key responsibilities include:
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver the 2024 Revealed: Emerging WA Aboriginal Artists Exhibition and associated engagement and learning program, presented at Fremantle Arts Centre.
  • Maintain Revealed databases, oversee the exhibition artwork sales, budget expenditure and record-keeping and contribute to reports to funding bodies at required milestones during and at the completion of the project.

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • Working knowledge of WA Aboriginal Arts Centre and Aboriginal art practice. 
  • Ability to appropriately and effectively communicate with a number of stakeholders including Aboriginal arts workers, Arts Centre managers, artists and funding bodies.
  • Highly developed exhibition/ project coordination, organisational, budget management and administrative skills.
  • High level verbal and written communication skills.
