Kirks on the Esplanade is the pinnacle waterfront venue on the Mornington peninsula. Offering breathtaking views of Port Phillip Bay, great food, extensive wine list, great beers, excellent service and a memorable dining experience.
The hotel caters for a diverse clientele with a large bistro, public bar/TAB, Gaming Room and private function room.
We are looking for an Experienced Assistant Manager to join the team and assist in day to day operations of the venue and help to guide the business forward. The position would be across our 2 peninsula venues (Westernport Hotel Hastings & Kirks on the Esplanade Mornington), the successful candidate would work across both venues at various stages of their employment.
Responsibilities
Supporting the Venue Manager in day to day operations of the venue
Managing staff across all areas of the venue to ensure the provision of excellent service
Leading by example in a hands on role
Interact with customers/staff to ensure all enquiries are handled promptly
Opening and closing venue / cash management / daily reconciliation
To be effective in this role the successful candidate:
Must have experience in hospitality management
Be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
Show great interpersonal and leadership skills
Be passionate and enthusiastic
Current RSA and RSG Modules preferred
