The Role
Opportunities exist in our Transport Infrastructure and Construction Divisions, for immediate start as Construction or Civil Works Foreman, with a focus on project delivery for clients including Heritage Stoneworks, TAFE NSW, NSW Department of Education, NSW Department of Planning & Environment, Sydney Trains, Transport for NSW, Roads & Maritime Services, and other State & Local Government entities.
About You
Successful applicants will be currently resident in Sydney, NSW Australia or nearby, and possess current Australian working rights. Successful applicants will be competent in the planning, setup, resourcing, supervision, and direct site delivery of complex civil/construction projects conducted in occupied, operating, functional environments, to timeframe and within budget. You will be the face of Rapid, in daily contact with our clients, and with our supply chain partners. You will be customer focused, with advanced communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. You'll have recent experience working in and around transport infrastructure, and on high-profile, challenging, and technically unusual projects. You'll be comfortable working unsupervised, supervising internal and subcontracting trades teams, and have a solid understanding of both legislative and ISO-based Quality, Work Health & Safety, and Environmental Management principles and practices.
Remuneration
A salary in the $110k to $140k range will be negotiated with successful applicants, including superannuation and other allowances such as vehicle allowance. Final remuneration package will be dependent upon your skills, experience, qualifications, and industry tenure.
Relevant qualifications, skills, and experience
- Minimum 4 to 5 years in a similar role
- Comfortable on projects worth $2m or more
- Advanced spoken & written skills in English
- General Induction for Construction
- Rail Industry Worker induction
- Senior First Aid and CPR
- Confined Space, and Height Safety Awareness
- Trade qualifications (Cert III)
- Tertiary qualifications (Cert IV, Diploma, Degree)
- MS Office 365 including Project
Other details
Occasional night-time and/or weekend (possession) works are undertaken, in which you would be expected to be involved. Certain projects may require regional travel (NSW & ACT) and living away from home. A "zero disclosable outcomes" criminal history clearance is required by all our clients.
