PROVE Infrastructure offers extensive mechanical and electrical services to the water, wastewater, material handling and general industrial sectors. Our multi skilled team consisting of Electrical Engineers and Mechanical, Industrial Electricians and Fitters is able to provide turnkey solutions, including formal engineering design, documentation, switchboard assembly, installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems.
About the position:
With the recent significant growth within PROVE we are looking to add an experienced Industrial Electrician to our team. As the role does not typically require weekend or overtime work, the role will provide the suitable candidate with a genuine work life balance.
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor and backed by our experienced team, your duties will include, but not be limited to:
FIELD DUTIES
- Installation, assembly, and modification of electrical equipment
- Switchboard assembly (including Distribution, MCCs, PLC IO and ELV)
- Autonomously attending emergency breakdowns, diagnosing & repairing industrial equipment that include PLC, motor controls and field instrumentation
- Electrical and Mechanical assembly of material handling equipment such as conveyors and product lifts
- Upgrades and maintenance with critical and essential assets such as Water and Sewer pumping station
- Follow company procedures & policies in-line with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001
- (Normally no weekend or over-time work is required).
OFFICE DUTIES
- Prepare and assist with quotes and tenders
- Review and mark up electrical drawings for construction
- Contact suppliers to retrieve costing and lead times
- Attend meetings as technical support to the Project Managers
- Respond to emails

A successful candidate must:
- Have an A-Grade electrical license
- Must have previous experience working with PLC's, automation, process controls, safety systems, motor controls, control systems and integration.
- Switchboard design and assembly knowledge
- Experience within the water industry is highly regarded.
- Able to work autonomously and manage projects assigned for your completion.
- Willing to work as part of a team with a strong focus to teach other work colleagues when required
- Possess a high-level communication skill, both written and verbal
- Experience with MS Office
- Strong written, verbal and communication skills.
- Have a strong understanding and willing to implement best OH&S practice
