Experienced NDIS Coordinator

Abilities NQ is looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and highly organised Experienced NDIS Coordinator in Townsville due to ongoing expansion.

This role ensures that Abilities NQ delivers services that meet the individual goals of the client, enabling increased independence and identity in the community. This role has face-to-face time with clients, families and employees, as well as strategic requirements such as ensuring that quality standards are met. This role is responsible for resolving and responding to organisational / client needs both strategically and immediately as they occur.

Some of the primary objectives of the NDIS Coordinator are:

Provide ongoing support and guidance to support staff and team leaders.

Assist with organising and coordinating regular team meetings

Ensure full compliance is upheld in all SIL houses as well as ensuring compliance within the NDIS framework

Ensure effective and open communication with all stakeholders is conducted

Ensure there is open communication between staff and coordination team.

Complete and manage monthly rosters for a set caseload on an ongoing basis.

Ensure staff compliance and training are in line with NDIS guidelines.

Review and provide feedback on weekly reports provided by team leaders.

Work alongside Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to ensure medication requirements are being met

Identify training gaps and ensure appropriate training is provided for the team

Complete on-call requirements as per the rotating roster.

Build a strong rapport with clients and families through excellent customer service.

Essential:

Qualifications relevant to the Disability sector (desired or willing to obtain)

Previous experience within a coordination role.

Strong experience in the coordination of people under the NDIS sector.

Knowledge and understanding of disability sector funding and new innovation funding including NDIS.

Demonstrated management leadership capacity, including staff supervision and performance management.

Demonstrated superior skills in mediation and negotiation, collaboration and consultation with key stakeholders.

High-level knowledge and understanding of the policy, procedures and standards pertaining to the provision of disability services.

NDIS Coordinator requirements:

Excellent communication, organisational, conflict-resolution and time-management skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Ability to problem solve in a high pressure situation

Ability to multitask and prioritise workload

Previous team leader/ coordinator experience within the disability services sector

Relevant tertiary qualifications (desirable)
