AddressMetWest Eye Centre and MetWest Surgical is a boutique Opthalmic Day Surgery in Western Sydney with a 30 year history providing world class leading surgical facilities and technology to treat the full spectrum of adult Ophthalmic surgical conditions.
The role reports to the Day Surgery Manager.
Mandatory Criteria:
- Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia registration with AHPRA
- At least 2 years of previous experience in Perioperative nursing with exceptional clinical skills
Essential skills including tasks and responsibilities:
- Previous experience in Admission, Recovery and Discharge of patients undergoing IV Sedation (No general anaesthetic)
- Assistance with intravitreal injection clinics
- Ophthalmology experience (Desirable)
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients in the day surgery environment
- Ability to establish interpersonal relationships and collaborate with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
- Active involvement in Quality Improvement activities
