SalaryLocated in Pooraka, Tecside are looking for an experienced Pre-Cast operator to join the team as a leading hand. If you have experience in pre-cast and want to join a national company with plenty of room for career progression we would love to hear from you!Duties may include.
- Leading a team
- Setting up Molds or forms according to specifications for pouring concrete.
- Mixing concrete ingredients manually or using machinery such as concrete mixers.
- Pouring concrete into Molds or forms, ensuring it spreads evenly and fills all spaces.
- Smoothing and levelling concrete surfaces using tools such as trowels, screeds, and floats.
- Placing and securing reinforcement materials such as rebar or wire mesh within concrete forms.
- Operating heavy machinery such as cranes, forklifts, or hoists to move and position precast concrete elements.
- Removing Molds or forms from cured concrete pieces carefully to avoid damaging the product.
- Cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Inspecting finished precast elements for defects or imperfections and making necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Assisting in loading, unloading, and transporting precast concrete elements to designated locations.
- Patching and repairing damaged or defective precast concrete elements.
- Previous experience in concrete work or construction is preferred.
- Ability to follow specifications and work with precision.
- Physical strength and stamina for manual labour.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
