Reporting into the Production Team Leader, this is a key role critical to continued daily operations. This role would ideally suit a machine operator with experience in a food manufacturing facility and has worked across multiple manufacturing areas (batching, filling, packing).
Skills required:
- Similar industry (dairy/beverages) would be highly regarded.
- Citect/Wonderware SCADA operating platform
- Able to demonstrate & explain the completion of manual cleaning tasks.
- Debrief with existing shift leaders (batching, filling) to understand any exceptions, issues, or priorities.
- Support completion of remaining production tasks to achieve targeted volume (batching/filling area)
- Complete end of day batching checklist & task list to prepare for the day.
- Ensure safe preparation & protection of electrical equipment by applying safe working practices prior to commencement of the manual cleaning process.
- Ensure manual cleaning of processing & filling equipment is conducted as per company specific procedures.
- Monitor clean in place (CIP) of processing & filling equipment is completed without any faults.
- Lead troubleshooting of equipment faults together with maintenance team
- Apply problem solving techniques to assess if external support is needed.
- Completion of start-up/pre-start checklist to ensure batching & filling machines are ready to operate.
- Conducting rapid swabbing process on all equipment to validate cleaning effectiveness.
- Assess all cleaning effectiveness and apply necessary corrective action to remedy for any cleaning that is no effective.
- Complete handover with AM production shift leaders on activities completed throughout the shift.
- Lead your team effectively and manage any non-compliance promptly.
