AddressKagome Australia is a leading agribusiness with farms located across regional Victoria and New South Wales.
Kagome is looking for experienced Spray Operators to join our field operations team in the Deniliquin area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of general farming activities within our Tomato, Carrot, Garlic and rotational crops.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Conducting prestart checks on machinery.
- Apply chemicals as directed by agronomy team (insecticide, fungicide, herbicide) in safe and effective manner.
- Operate machinery specific to each application.
- Complete spray records at end of each task.
- Ensure spray tanks and machinery are cleaned at the conclusion of each application.
- Routine maintenance of farming equipment and machinery.
- Assist with other farm tasks as directed.
- Land development and preparation as required.
What you offer:
- AgChem Accreditation and Chemical Spraying Experience (Essential)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working on broad acre or row cropping farms in both self propelled and trailing/tow behind type spray rigs.
- High Risk Work Licence Forklift LF and/or Crane CN (Desirable)
- Open class driver’s license
- Ability to work flexible hours including during weekends or holiday periods, as required.
- A passion for agriculture and desire to establish a long-term employment relationship with Kagome.
- Basic literacy and numeracy are inherent requirements of the role, in order to read product labels, apply appropriate rates of chemical and calibrate spray equipment.
- Ability to use Ipad software and basic Microsoft applications for spray records.
- Physically fit.
