You will lead a group of track workers/contractors effectively and efficiently to undertake preventative and routine maintenance and earthworks on our network. A large part of the role will include taking track possessions and leading investigative pre-work for the RM902 Undercutting operation.
About the role:
- Facilitate, lead, and contribute achievement of safety and environmental performance targets by actively promoting safe behaviour, implementing strategies to minimise the risk of injury or loss
- Undertake infrastructure track maintenance to specified quality and consistency
- Capture and record accurate data to provide planning and execution teams with the critical information necessary to develop a robust and executable plan
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and assist with the development of new work practices
- Responsible ensuring completion of scheduled tasks safely and in line with deadlines
- Reporting on work performed to Supervisors and communicating any delays/issues as they occur
- Travel across network as required to support other teams during system closures
About you:
- 'C' Class Driver Licence (Mandatory)
- 'HR' Class Driver Licence or higher (Preferred)
- Cert III Rail Infrastructure (Preferred)
- Protection Officer Level 2 (Required within 3 months)
- Aurizon Responsible Worker (Required within 3 months)
- Aurizon Authorised Person (Required within 3 months)
