About the Roles
Aeon is seeking expressions of interest from East coast based (preference given to Queensland candidates) Field Technicians and Camp Cooks for a number of positions to support the upcoming field campaign and future exploration in the region.
Roles are available from enthusiastic newcomers through to experienced field personnel, on day rate contract basis.
Field Technician Responsibilities:
- Drill core processing, cutting and sampling.
- RC sampling and sample management.
- Drill pad preparation and rehabilitation.
- Vehicle and equipment maintenance and inspections.
- Undertake various tasks around the camp as requested.
- Prepare and maintain water supply pumps and waterlines to the drill rigs and camp.
- Participation in general geochemical sampling and field work activities.
About You:
- Absolute commitment to safety and respect in the workplace.
- Experience on an exploration site is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to help others with general site, camp or field duties when required, with can-do attitude.
- C class with a preferred Manual Driver Licence.
- Ability to operate on a FIFO roster.
- Current first aid ticket (or be prepared to get one)
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
Camp Cook Responsibilities:
- Preparation, cooking and serving of daily meals for up to 20 people.
- Ensure all meals meet health, hygiene and quality standards.
- Effective ordering of camp food supplies.
- Managing camp food supply, stocktake controls and process.
- Effective menu planning aligned to cost control measures.
- Cleaning of accommodations, ablutions and kitchen including laundering camp linen.
About You:
- Absolute commitment to safety and respect in the workplace.
- Trade certificate and commercial cooking experience.
- Food Handling certificate.
- Experience on an exploration site is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to help others with general site, camp or field duties when required, with can-do attitude.
- C class with a preferred Manual Driver Licence.
- Ability to operate on a FIFO roster.
- Current first aid ticket (or be prepared to get one)
