THE OPPORTUNITY
At our Beta Hunt Operations this role will focus on both Exploration and Resource Development. Activities include [JT1] logging of both Gold and Nickel diamond drill core[JT2] , management of drill related data, UG Rig supervision and implementation of drilling programs. Other duties include assisting in the identification and generation of quality drill targets with the aim of discovering and developing resources for the Beta Hunt Life of Mine (LOM) plan[PB3] [JT4] . Conducting weekly QAQC validation checks of drill hole data and drill hole assay data.
- Timely logging of UG core for both Gold and Nickel programs
- Assist in the preparation, management, and reporting of results in relation to Exploration and Resource Development UG Diamond Drilling programs
- Assist in the design and implementation of drilling activities and data capture
- Help drive discovery and resource growth through the identification and development of exploration and resource definition targets
- Liaising with Contractors and Stakeholders as required
ABOUT YOU
- Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence
- B.Sc. Degree majoring in Geology or related field
- Experience in Exploration and Resource Development, but not critical
- Diamond core logging experience (desirable)
- Drill planning and supervision experience (desirable)
- Background in Archean gold mineralisation, hydrothermal alteration, petrology and metamorphism, and structural deformation (desirable)
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
