About the role:
Our client is listed on the ASX so the role holder will be responsible for all relevant reporting standards and requirements.
Reporting into the Group Consolidation Reporting Controller, the successful candidate will:
- Lead and prepare the Group’s ASX half and full-year statutory financial reports and manage the external audit
- Assist the GFC with the preparation of board reports
- Take ownership of all technical advice on accounting policy
- Refine and advise on accounting and finance policies for multiple group entities
- Be the ''go to person'' for all relevant technical accounting reporting queries
- Drives process improvement and efficiency agendas across the group finance team
- Be comfortable dealing with all levels of business operations (C-suite and below)
The successful candidate will be a Big 4 chartered accountant with previous experience of auditing or working within large ASX listed companies. Superior technical skills are a pre-requisite for this role and the ability to navigate large, complex environments will also be needed. In order to really excel and position oneself for future promotion, the role holder will need to be commercially minded and be able to bring finance to life for all layers of the business.
Sophisticated communication skills in both the written and verbal form are a non negotiable component of this role as is the want and desire to work with non finance people on a daily basis.

Salary on offer will be dependent on experience but c. $150,000 - $175,000 + super + bonus.
A hybrid working model exists within this organisation with most individuals working 2 days in the office and 3 at home.
