Job description

Fabric Developer

Calling all analytical creatives, you know who you are, and we want to hear from you!

The Opportunity

Do you excel at crafting data solutions that revolutionise how businesses leverage their data? Are you passionate about creating innovative solutions and nurturing client relationships? We're looking for creative minds who thrive on solving complex puzzles and transforming raw data into dazzling stories. If you're a tech-savvy, data-loving guru who wants to make a real impact, this is your chance! Plus, being part of our team means joining a diverse and inclusive community where your unique perspective and skills are celebrated.

As a Fabric Developer at Agile Analytics, you'll not only lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of scalable data pipelines but also play a pivotal role in establishing Microsoft Fabric as a distinct discipline within our organisation. Drawing on your expertise in Data Engineering and/or Power BI, you'll drive the evolution of Microsoft Fabric, shaping its future and impact within our dynamic team.

A day in the life

Your day begins with diving into the backend data infrastructure, where you design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric technologies. You collaborate closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure the integrity and quality of the data, leveraging your analytical skills to solve complex problems and drive efficiency. But the excitement doesn't stop there! As a master of both backend data infrastructure and front-end data visualization, you seamlessly transition to crafting compelling visualizations using tools like Power BI within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. Here, your creativity shines as you transform raw data into actionable insights, collaborating with stakeholders to bring data stories to life. Whether you're fine-tuning data pipelines or crafting stunning visualizations, every day as a Fabric Developer is a blend of analytical rigor and creative innovation, making a tangible impact on the success of projects and the company as a whole.

Qualifications

We know that everyone’s entry into the world of Data and Analytics is different, and want to attract passionate and creative individuals, rather than those who tick a list of qualifications, so we invite our candidates to tell their own story. Tell us how you will best fit into this role and make it your own.

Here are some pointers around what is important to us and what we will look for:

  • Technical Skills: Ideally we are looking for experts in the Microsoft Suite of data management and analytical products, think Azure and Power BI. If your forte is one area but you have exposure in another, we would love to speak with you! We would especially encourage you to apply if you have working experience with both Azure and Power BI.
  • Consulting: We are passionate about creating out-of-the-box solutions for our clients and empowering them to lean into their data and analytics to better their purpose. You, as our Fabric Developer, will be able to speak to a range of different internal and external stakeholders from different industries to create lasting and memorable relationships. The role will include wearing different hats – gathering requirements, seeing projects through to completion and nurturing relationships.
  • Communication: Have you been told by people that you can “read the room” and adapt accordingly? This role calls for this superpower where you will seamlessly adapt your style of communication in order to bring about a positive outcome and move projects and initiatives to completion.
