Fabrication Tradesperson

Position Type: Casual position with Maxima Labour Hire. Full Time hours, 38 hour week (RDO day per fortnight) 
Duration: Contract 
Pay Rate: $54ph + Super

The Fabrication Tradesperson is responsible for (but not limited to) structural maintenance/repair of the ferries, ferry crossings and Dockyard with minor responsibility in mechanical, hydraulic and/or pneumatic maintenance. 
The tradesperson will be required to be available on a roster basis to undertake after-hours ferry repairs and undertake an after-hours call-out roster coordinator role.

Responsibilities:

1. Undertaking fabrication and minor mechanical, hydraulic and electrical aspects of Metal Trade-related functions
2. Overseeing, completing and maintaining records and preparing reports
3. Undertaking modifications/repairs to ferry structural components and ferry infrastructure.
4. Ability to fabricate noncomplex and complex steel/aluminum structures and components. 
5. Other technical abilities befitting an M7 mechanical trade.
6.  Available for an on-call roster arrangement to perform after-hours call outs for ferry repair -some out of hours and weekend work may be required;
7. Available for some intra / interstate travel may be required including overnight absences
8. Other responsibilities as per job description

1. Current Driver's License is essential
2. Class HR License (or willing to obtain)
3. An AQF Level 4 National Certificate or equivalent
4. White Card (Construction Industry Card)
5. Recreational Boat License
