Job description

Cashcor Engineering are looking for a Fabrication Workshop Coordinator to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position.

This role plays an integral part in supporting and achieving objectives within our business. You will contribute to maintaining a professional manufacturing and fabrication team that have the expertise, experience, and efficiency to deliver a consistent high level of service to our customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide customer service and support via competent and timely technical and fabrication advice for quoting in a friendly and efficient manner. 
  • Booking in customer and internal workshop jobs to Job Scheduling.
  • Organise workshop team weekly and daily schedules.
  • Keep customers and internal staff well informed on progress of works.
  • Co – ordinate collections and returns of works when required.
  • Actively advise customers on works including making recommendations on product upgrades or new replacements where appropriate. 
  • Negotiate all aspects of a customer’s order including material. 
  • Deliver regular progress updates on works to Directors and Management Team. 
  • Manage stock for works and for general use within workshop. 
  • Undertake other projects or activities as directed. 
  • Assist with development and training for workshop team.
  • Australian residents only position.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Must have experience in the fabrication of aluminium, stainless steel and steel using MIG and TIG processes.
  • Ability to interpret detailed drawings and manage works accordingly. 
  • Applicants with experience in using guillotines, plate rollers and press breaks advantageous.
  • Computer literate with engineering programs. CAD Experience also advantageous but not a requirement.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and adherence to all relevant WH & S legislations.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills. 
  • Effective time management. 
  • Very strong attention to detail. 
  • Initiative to work with minimal management direction. 
  • Teamwork orientation. 
  • Good communications skills. 
  • Ability to build and manage customer relationships. 
  • Goal oriented, outcome focused, performance driven. 
  • Available to travel for work.
  • Positive Attitude.
