Exceptional people skills are a must, as you will collaborate closely with the client’s Senior Leadership team based locally in Sydney.

Based in Sydney CBD.

A typical day may involve:

  • Ensuring efficient and reliable operations of critical building functions (both hard and soft services) across a national portfolio of 3 sites.
  • Responding to incidents with a technical mindset, and recommending best course of action.
  • Overseeing and inspecting work performed by external contractors, whilst minimising business interruption.
  • Serving as key interface with client’s senior leadership teams - articulating complex Engineering problems and corrective actions in a manner that can be understood.
  • Financial accountability and control of budget preparation, including timely reporting.
  • Ensuring cost-effective maintenance programs are in place, and exploring options for continuous improvements through sustainability innovations.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with vendors – collaborating on inspections, site audits, monitoring compliance and collation of work permits and risk assessments.
  • Direct leadership of an Assistant Facilities Manager.
  • Collaborating with wider teams on sustainability projects and end-of-life cycle initiatives, including maintaining an energy management program.
  • Responding to emergency situations where necessary.

Requirements

  • (ESSENTIAL) – Experience in maintaining and understanding critical engineering environments / integrated facilities.
  • (ESSENTIAL) – Financial and reporting competency, as well as technical hands-on capability.
  • (PREFERRED) – Experience with clients in the Financial sector.
  • (PREFERRED) – Experience within an A-grade premium building and complex state-of-the-art building systems.
  • Innovative mentality to look beyond existing solutions.
  • Excellent relationship and people management skills.
  • High level proficiency with MS Office Suite.

What's in it for you?

  • Premium A-grade building with the latest and greatest in building software / analytics systems.
  • Long-standing client of CBRE with an excellent working relationship.
  • Globally recognised Financial Institution with high performance teams.
  • High exposure to career growth opportunities within GWS and across CBRE
  • Access to training, mentoring, wellbeing programs, corporate discounts and social events.
  • Exposure to world-class facilities management services and opportunity to work with some of the industry’s most talented performers.

If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you!
