Reporting to the Engineering, Technology & Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance & Facilities Manager is responsible for leading the Devro Maintenance Team and activities to meet safety, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Engineering Practise (GEP) and Cost Requirements. This role is accountable for all the Bathurst Plant & Equipment, Site Facilities, Facility Cleaning and Laundry Services.

About the role:
- Promote and ensure good Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) practices
- Establish department goals and provide strong leadership to the Maintenance team
- Ensure regulatory compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) standards
- Review, update, and promote Devro Maintenance policies, procedures, and practices
- Manage and control Maintenance budget and expenses
- Manage maintenance work identifications, prioritise, plan, schedule and ensure team members deliver efficient quality service to stakeholders
- Responsible for continuous improvement and implementation of the Maintenance program (Preventive and Predictive Maintenance) for all Plant equipment to increase availability of assets while optimising Maintenance costs.
About you:
- Qualified Engineer with a background with extensive experience in maintenance management in manufacturing industry, FMCG preferred
- Direct management experience in a Maintenance or manufacturing environment
- Experience in dealing with a unionised work force
- Change Management champion - improving team engagement, and delivering results in a technical manufacturing environment
- Experience using maintenance systems, reliability best practices, continuous improvement principles, and exposure to use of a CMMS system
- Excellent leadership, communication, inter-personal and organisational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proven Continuous Improvement outcomes
