- This role is Permanent Full-time, 76hours/fortnight.
- The internal job title for this role is Silo Technician.
- This role is based on-site at IKEA Distribution Centre, Marsden Park NSW.
- You must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm) Monday to Friday.
- You will be required to be available on-call Saturdays 10am-6pm (shared responsibility within your team)
- Responsible for facilities and equipment daily operation and maintenance.
- Implement preventive maintenance regularly to keep all facilities related equipment in good order.
- Contribute to positive Silo activities by proactively following working routines and reduce Silo downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any abnormalities or incidents.
- Take the corrective/preventive actions of issues finding during the daily inspection/maintenance.
- Coordinate and supervise with external service provider to implement maintenance or project to ensure quality works complying with Quality Standard and IKEA requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in all locations within the Fulfilment unit.
- Perform ad-hoc troubleshooting of equipment faults.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Silo System performance and efficiency.
- Comfortable working at heights, with strong commitment to safety.
- Previous experience or exposure within Facilities Management, Automatic Storage Retrieval Systems or equivalent experience.
- Passion for sustainability and a desire to contribute to IKEA's sustainability goals.
- Pro-active with a sense of urgency in the delivery of tasks with a desire to work in the property management sector.
- A people's person, with proven experience with stakeholder management and working as part of a team.
- A forward thinker who works calmly under pressure, taking ownership of quick decisions and problem solving.
