Facility Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced, self-motivated and reliable Maintenance and Facility Manager to join our friendly and successful team at our Oaks Melbourne on Market Hotel.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Implement and drive the preventative maintenance program.
• Perform the role in a hands-on manner by undertaking any repairs and maintenance as required.
• Supervision of (but not limited to) electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security control systems, hydraulic services and approved contractor works.
• Property maintenance including painting, plastering, and carpentry
• Ensure WHS best practice at all times.
• Stock control, supplier management.
• Quoting, scheduling and managing of Capex Requests
• Recruitment

Annual salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 (excluding superannuation)

Expected hours: 38 per week

Location: 60 Market St, Melbourne VIC 3000

The successful applicant will have:

• Building qualification advantageous
• Previous hands-on Maintenance/Facilities Management experience, preferably in a hotel environment;
• Strong facilitates knowledge 
• Property maintenance experience including painting, plastering, and carpentry. 
• Proven ability to manage and develop team members;
• Experience implementing a preventative maintenance program;
• Experience organising, consulting and negotiating with Contractors;
• Sound MS Office skills (including Excel spreadsheets and word documents)
• A passion for delivering exceptional, pro-active service;
• Excellent interpersonal and communications combined with impeccable presentation.
