An exciting opportunity is now available for a Facility Manager, where you will be responsible for co-coordinating the day-to-day delivery of the services within the entire facility and surrounds in accordance with the Contractual Requirements of a large pharmaceutical company service level agreement based at Broadmeadows and Melbourne.

The Facility Manager will take full accountability for the operational delivery of soft and hard services to achieve all contractual obligations around safety, performance, quality, communications, and any other obligations required by the Contract.
The role is required to attend and where necessary chair regular client meetings and manage any Downer and Client responsibilities.
- Upholding the highest levels of safety management and zero harm compliance on site.
- Complying with the Downer Management Methodology framework.
- Working closely with the direct and indirect onsite team to ensure the completion of all activities required by the contract.
- Working closely with the Downer head office support teams on any Zero Harm, Financial, Commercial, Procurement, HR or Technology related matter.
- Producing all the necessary reporting required by the Contract including Monthly Performance, incident Investigation and ad/hoc reports.
- Ensuring all the required inductions, training and competencies for the direct and indirect teams (including Service Delivery Partners) are up to date.
- Ensuring the compliance of all Service Delivery Partners working on site.
- Maintaining detailed records of all tasks and activities undertaken on site including any planned and reactive maintenance, Incidents and near misses.
- Schedule and undertake regular inspections of the site for maintenance, cleaning, OH&S, GMP and Environmental Risk Identification to ensure a safe working/learning environment for all parties involved.
- Support the client for any preparation activity related to auditing and compliance.
- Close off any non-conformance or deviation successfully and in the allocated timeframes.
- Program and manage the annual shutdown and all associated activities.
- Be available to respond to issues as required and within specified time frames, including afterhours calls.
- Maintain the site inventory and undertake monthly audits of critical spares, assets & stock (where applicable)
What you'll bring
- Tertiary engineering qualification or similar relevant field, and/or post graduate qualifications in a related discipline
- Can build effective relationships with all levels of the company and with appropriate client base
- Ability to lead and influence a large and broad workforce
- Working knowledge of building services including electrical, mechanical, fire and hydraulic systems
- Working knowledge of building soft services including cleaning, hygiene, grounds, and laundry
- Ability to work in a highly controlled environment with heavy third-party auditing overlay for Quality, Safety and Environment
- Ability to manage a pool of direct and indirect reports and subcontractors
- Full understanding of OH&S regulations.
- Experience in the delivery of planned, reactive, predictive maintenance works
- Proven ability to plan and prioritise own work in a time efficient and effective manner
- Excellent time management skills and computer skills.
