A unique opportunity is available for an experienced Aged Care manager to oversee the day to day clinical care and operations of this unique model of care, with high level stakeholder engagement with residents and their families.
The Opportunity
The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of the facility, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and resident satisfaction. This role involves managing budgets, coordinating resources and personnel, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. The Facility Manager leads the facility's team of staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a high standard of care, maintenance, and cleanliness of the facility. Additionally, the Facility Manager plays a key role in liaising with stakeholders, including residents, families, staff, and external service providers, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Overall, the Facility Manager is accountable for the successful operation and ongoing improvement of the facility, in alignment with the organisation's goals and values.
Reporting to the Executive team, the Facility Manager will:
- Leadership and Management: Oversee a diverse and dynamic team, and leading them towards exceptional care outcomes.
- Staff Management: Oversee recruitment, mentoring and performance management, and fostering a positive work environment with adequate staffing levels.
- Resident Care: Ensuring excellent care outcomes for the resident cohort, with a focus on a holistic approach incorporating both clinical and lifestyle-centric care.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulations, policies, and standards, addressing non-compliance promptly.
For this appointment, we are seeking an established Aged Care leader with a track record in developing and leading clinical services within the Aged Care sector. The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing residential aged care facilities.
- A passion for and working knowledge of unique models of care.
- Have a proven track record in leading and mentoring teams, with demonstrated ability in implementing and seeing through organisational and staff objectives.
- Proven ability to ensure regulatory compliance and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Extensive demonstrated understanding of holistic, resident-centric care.
- Strong financial management skills, including budget development and cost optimisation.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, fostering positive relationships with consumers, families, and the broader community.
- AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse, or adjacent disclipine supported by demonstrated experience in the Residential Aged Care sector.
