About the role
Are you looking for a long term role working for an established Australian manufacturer? Do you want to be a valued part of a close knit team and make a large impact? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team located in the South Eastern suburbs of Sydney.
Training will be provided for those skills that are particular to this business's activities. We are looking for a reliable, self motivated and mature minded person to fill this key role. Our plant operates 16 hours x 5 days. Role is day shift (6:30am - 2:30pm). Some flexibility needed in case of occasional requirement to cover other shift absences.
Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for helping to ensure the smooth running of our factory. This role has the potential to expand as you grow within the company and offers exciting prospects! Excellent role for someone looking to gain a wide depth of experience within a growing manufacturer.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery safely and effectively to meet the production plan
- Coating Machine operation
- Manufacture and filling of coatings
- Local and export order packing and preparation
- Loading and unloading of deliveries
- General organisation of factory space
- Any other ad hoc duties
What are we looking for?
- A willingness to learn!
- Customer focused and willing to work as a team
- Experience working within a manufacturing or warehouse environment would be highly regarded
- Printer operation experience is helpful
- Current Forklift licence or ability to learn to operate a forklift
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail.
