Looking for a person responsible for the management and supervision of projects on our steel fabrication shop floor, manufacturing predominantly, large LED signs and billboards.
Reporting to the Production manager the successful candidate must have experience in a steel factory/production environment, will be able to work and perform duties to an, accurate and efficient level.
The Role:
- Manage the workflow, oversee employees' performance, provide guidance, support, and manage the efficiency and productivity within the team.
- Plan and allocate work to shop floor Welders/ Fabricators
- Lead Daily Toolbox talks with the Production Manager
- Interpret drawings for fabrication and welding requirements
- Ensure all Quality Assurance requirements are met including reporting and follow-ups
- Investigate and report all non-conformance and rework
- Monitor team productivity
- Regularly train staff in safe use of factory tools and machinery
- Ensure safe work practices are followed in accordance with WHS requirements, policies and procedures
- Monitor in and outgoing goods.
Essential Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a factory environment
- 3 years’ experience supervising staff
- Experience managing staff
- Workshop Planning
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- MIG Welding
- Steel Fabrication
