Factory Hand – Ink Manufacturing Plant
Memjet is the global leader in digital inkjet technology and has recently opened a state-of-the art dye-based Ink Manufacturing Plant in North Ryde/Macquarie Park.
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable person to join our small Ink Manufacturing team. We are seeking someone with good knowledge of health and safety regulations relating to factory environments, manual handling and cleaning. This permanent role is full time Monday to Friday (dayshift only, working a 38 hour week). Full training will be provided onsite.
Typical daily activities will include:
- Bringing raw materials into the factory and connecting to the bays.
- Setting up batch production of the inks.
- Setting up and operating filtration of the inks, some testing of filtration efficiency.
- Cleaning mixing tanks, storage tanks and other equipment.
- Filling of drums and QC samples.
Note: Some activities require operations using a ladder and moving large bulky loads with lifting equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Working with a variety of automated and manual handling processes.
- Operating automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
- Following in-process quality checking procedures.
- Working as a team with other manufacturing personnel to ensure production targets are met.
- Maintaining a clean, organised work environment.
- Performing routine equipment maintenance tasks as per instructions.
Experience & Technical Skills:
- Prior experience in a technical batch manufacturing environment will be advantageous.
- Previous work with chemicals or ink will be highly valued.
