Join our team of specialist allied health professionals in delivering high quality services to individuals, families and children in family law, child protection and domestic and family violence.

There are 3 positions available:

  • 1 permanent full time Brisbane
  • 1 permanent full time Townsville
  • 1 temporary full time Brisbane until 27 June 2025

In this role you will:

  • Conduct clinical and forensic assessments of families and children.
  • Prepare complex and comprehensive assessment reports for use in court proceedings in the family law, child protection and related jurisdictions.
  • Provide expert opinion and evidence to the court, including being cross examined and challenged on your opinion.
  • Work collaboratively with Legal Aid Queensland staff and external stakeholders about case management matters to best support families and children and their safety.

You will have:

  • At least five years' clinical assessment experience as Social Worker or Psychologist
  • Current registration with the Psychology Board of Australia or eligibility for membership with the AASW.
  • Knowledge of child development theory
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients with complex needs
