Our client is currently seeking experienced Child and Family Practitioners to join their team in South-West Sydney and work to deliver in-home family therapy to vulnerable children and families who have experienced abuse and neglect.
This role will involve;
- Manage a caseload of families with children aged 0-17 who have experienced abuse or neglect
- Deliver in-home therapy and parenting programs to build capacity for families to function safely
- Implement safety plans and take immediate action where the safety of the child is at risk
- Maintain clear and concise documentation
- Develop and implement transition plans for when families exit the program
The requirements for this role include;
- Bachelor of Social Work, Counselling or related profession
- 2 years experience casework experience with children and families
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of vulnerable families
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of early intervention, the developmental stages of children and the importance of parenting skills
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- Current WWCC and drivers license
