We are seeking a dedicated Family Ministry Assistant! You will be responsible for supporting the Families Ministry Coordinator in the delivery of the mission of Central Vic Salvos through development and facilitation of youth, children's and young adults ministry.Responsibilities include
Programs and activities meet mission intentions, Corps goals and participant
Volunteers are recruited, trained and effectively engaged
Participate in appropriate funding activities agreed with Families Ministry CoordinatorPastoral care and discipleship activities are undertaken as agreed with Families Ministry CoordinatorCollaborative relationships are fostered with relevant community groups and organisations e.g., municipalities, police and local schools
This is a permanent part-time position, 30 hours per week, based in Maryborough, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with Hay Level 10.You will have
Enrolled and active Solider of the Salvation Army - preferred
Commitment to Christian faith and mission of The Salvation ArmyAbility to offer pastoral assistance, offer prayer and explain Christian GospelExperience in a Ministry position (desirable)Solid understanding of TSA Doctrines & Principles (desirable)Capacity to facilitate groups and one to one with a particular focus e.g. faith-based groupsA member/soldier of a local Salvation Army Corps (or willing to join a CVS congregation)A current Victorian Driver's LicenceBenefits of working at The Salvation ArmyEmployee Assistance Program - Independent confidential counselling service
