PRIMARY OBJECTIVES AND POSITION SUMMARY
Team Leader (Practice) Intensive Family Support will contribute to enabling place-based operational goals and work plans and lead a team to ensure high quality service delivery that achieves sustainable outcomes for clients and communities. The role requires a demonstrated knowledge of and proven ability to effectively apply professional practice methodologies (e.g. case management), policy, quality standards, and relevant legislation in service delivery and ensure frontline service delivery staff have the knowledge and skills to enable high quality service responses in their day-today work. Therefore, understanding and implementing effective staff management and personnel practices are essential. The Team Leader will provide management and guidance to the Case Workers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualifications in Human Services (or equivalent)
- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander nationality preferred (identified roles)
- Sound knowledge and understanding of local Aboriginal Culture, values, needs, issues and the ability to effectively communicate with Aboriginal community/people
- Demonstrated ability to support others positively
- Demonstrated knowledge and extensive experience in the Family Services area
- Highly developed skills and experience in the provision of case management to families and their children to assist promoting positive change
- Knowledge of, and experience in the application of relevant theoretical approaches, and a range of appropriate service responses to children, youth and families
- Ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Certificate in Cultural Awareness Training or Cultural Safety Training, or willingness to obtain within employer specified timeframe.
- National Police Check or the willingness to obtain within employer specified timeframe.
- Working with Children Check or the willingness to obtain within employer specified timeframe.
- Must be willing to undertake training and professional development.
- Annual First-Aid and CPR training where the role requires.
- Emergency Management training where the role requires.
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence.

Salary: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
