About the roleWe are seeking a values-driven Family Store Manager who will manage the retail and administrative functions of the Family Store in line with The Salvation Army (TSA) mission and values.
You will successfully- Manage the daily operations of the Family Store and ensure that it is operating at an optimum level, including retail space preparation, stock flow and rotation, collection and processing of donations, optimal pricing, store cleanliness, point of sale service, cash register operations, and customer service enquiries.
- A strong focus and commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Effective marketing and merchandising of goods for sale, ensuring brand alignment.
- Manage the financial performance of the store to meet or exceed budget.
- Provide leadership to staff and volunteers (the team) in a collaborative manner. Provide mentorship, training, and motivation to develop and maintain loyalty and trust with the team.
- Proven experience in retail management
- Sound experience in POS software and Microsoft office programs
- Demonstrated excellent people management skills with an emphasis on volunteers and the community.
- Good presentation, communication and listening skills (both oral and written) to be able to interact and network positively with a variety of people.
- Current valid Driver's Licence
- Current First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
- A reasonable level of fitness to carry out the duties of this position.
This is a full-time, permanent position located in Beerwah, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the General Retail Award Level 6.
