What You Will Be Doing

The Family Violence Intake and Assessment Practitioner is a valued member of the Family Violence Program at Peninsula Health. The role works within the state-funded Safety and Support Hubs, otherwise known as The Orange Door (TOD).

The Family Violence Practitioner works to achieve safety for women and children by sharing information, assessing risk and directly reaching out to AUFV. You will be part of multidisciplinary team of Family Violence specialists reporting operationally to an Integrated Team Leader and receiving line management from Peninsula Health.

These two position will be based within the Peninsula Health Team across either the Hastings or Frankston Orange Door sites (applicants will be based at one site). Peninsula Health holds the specialist portfolio for people who use violence. The Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Practice Guides And Assessment tools for professionals working with adults who use Family Violence are utilised to undertake this practice.

Together with your Integrated Team, the role of the Peninsula Health Orange Door Family Violence Intake and Assessment Practitioner is to provide comprehensive risk management and safety planning to clients who access the Orange Door. This is achieved through the delivery of screening and triage, assessment, crisis response and service planning.

  • Third party organisations
  • Clients who can self-refer by contacting The Orange Door directly

The Hubs work directly with PUVs onsite, via phone and out-posting at partner organisations.
