About the Role

Located 5km outside of Millicent SA, our client is a renowned and award-winning full-blood Wagyu Beef producer, recognised for its commitment to quality and excellence. The business is a progressive and vertically integrated beef producer, managing a ‘paddock to plate’ operation that supplies premium Full-blood Wagyu boxed beef both domestically and internationally. With cutting-edge practices and modern facilities, they take pride in delivering top-tier Wagyu products.

Due to internal promotions, there are now three full-time positions for Farm and Livestock Hands to join the team. This role offers a unique opportunity to be exposed to the breadth of operations carried out across the business, contributing to the success of a large-scale intensive cropping and fodder production enterprise, as well as a best-practice grain-feeding facility. As a Farm and Livestock Hand, you will work closely with our Full-blood Wagyu breeding herds and be a valuable part of our strong team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling and caring for large livestock, with a primary focus on Full-blood Wagyu cattle.
  • Assisting with day-to-day operations related to livestock management, including feeding, vaccinations, and health monitoring.
  • Supporting cropping and fodder production activities.
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure the well-being and optimal performance of the livestock.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.

About You

  • Proven experience in handling and managing large livestock.
  • Strong understanding of farming practices and Livestock husbandry.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated with a passion for working in agriculture.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
