Job Description
You will be responsible for operating a forklift in high pedestrian areas as well as performing required laboring/admin duties. Forklift safety must be of high importance to you.
You will work in one or all three of the following areas:
Warehouse:
- Some computer work.
- Picking material for grading - inner egg cartons and outer packaging.
- Loading and unloading of trucks.
- Stocktakes.
Carousel Pick:
- Picking and staging of loads to load plans.
- Picking, labelling, and staging of customer orders to picking lists.
- Placing pallets in racking for storage
- Assisting in stock rotation FIFO
- Assisting with the operation of the carousel – stacking boxes on pallets, etc.
- Following grading plans and liaising with the Team Leader to confirm quantities of product required.
Loader Area:
- Data entry into loader computer for daily production.
- Record keeping of daily production, run times, farm types (quite a bit of paperwork).
- Unloading of trucks.
- Receivals of ungraded eggs and relevant record keeping.
- Egg testing.
- Assisting loader staff to load eggs and collect used empty keytrays from loader.
Desirable
Previous experience with roll through pallet racking
Must have:
previous experience driving a forklift in high pedestrian areas
Committed to staying 6+ months
We are looking for someone with forklift experience and a mindset for forklift safety, due to the large amount of pedestrian traffic we cannot cater to training someone with completely no experience as it would pose a risk to our other workers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating high reach forklifts in a farm or warehouse environment.
- Valid High Risk Work Licence (LF) with a high reach endorsement.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Flexibility to work overtime as required.
