POSITIONWe have a full-time position for a Farm Inspector in Tolga QLD 4882.SKILLSYou require at least a Certificate IV or higher qualification and at least 1-year relevant job experience.RESPONSIBILITIESYour role as the Farm Inspector is to inspect the packaging of banana and avocado produce to ensure it complies with production, food safety, and industry standards.POSITION DUTIESYou will need to undertake the following tasks:

• Consultancy and planning with farm manager to meet the business objectives.
• Ensuring produce packaging complies with, food safety, industry and quarantine standards.
• Ensuring the packing facility remains clean and operational.
• Monitoring harvested produce entering packing facility for maturing, damage, quality and size for suitability for sale.
• Training staff as to correct procedure in grading and displaying produce.
• Monitoring the grading of produce as to quality, grade and presentation.
• Ensuring all bananas packed for hard green condition meet the hard-green condition requirements.
• Inspecting final packed produce before palletising for storage and transport.
• Addressing and rectifying any issues with quality, grade and presentation of produce.
• Ensuring packed produce are stacked, labelled, and packed for transport.
• Ensuring that required standards of hygiene are observed at storage, processing and packing facilities and in transport vehicles.
• Ensuring produced is stored at the correct cold room temperatures.
• Ensuring and enforcing compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards.
• Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business.
