What lifestyle will you find on the farm?

With the growth of the farm Myobie, we are seeking additional support in the form of a Permanent Machinery Operator.

Myobie is located near the township of Dalby, which is 130 km west of Toowoomba. The farm's land is situated 40 km north of Dalby on the Cooranga Creek, and 20 km south of Dalby along the Moonie Hwy. Myobie spans across 9,077 hectares of arable land and specializes in dryland cotton and winter cereals production.

Our dedicated team of eight members is deeply passionate about agriculture, machinery, and crop cultivation. They not only enjoy sharing their passion within the team but also with the wider Dalby community. The Farm Manager embraces a collaborative approach and values giving individuals responsibility and accountability.

There will be a family house available for the successful candidate, but we could also accomodate someone who wants to stay in Dalby and travel to work.

What does a Machinery Operator at Warakirri Cropping do

  • You will be operating Farm Machinery, including but not limited to, tasks associated with spraying, paddock preparation, planting, spreading, cartage and harvest.
  • At Warakirri Cropping you get to work with the newest equipment and innovative technology and using these, you will observe and monitor crop health and progress.
  • Assisting with the testing and recording of contton and grain quality as well as the safe storage and handling of grain during and post-harvest.
  • The most important thing, if you want to learn something, just ask!! Warakirri Cropping is all about helping our staff development and are always open to our staff learning new things.

Do you recognise yourself in the following statements?

  • You have a strong focus on safety.
  • You can be a junior in the industry OR have a demonstrated track-record of employment in a cotton or dryland/broadacre cropping operation with operating large-scale cotton or cropping plant and equipment. We will supprt your development depending on your experience level. 
  • You work best in a team environment and enjoy contributing to a successful farm team and kicking goals together.
  • People pride you on your initiative and self-motivation.
  • You have a current driver’s license.
  • You have a current chemical user’s certificate and/or truck license or, you are open to obtaining one through us.
  • Full Australian working rights.
