We are looking for a Farm Machinery Operator (field technician) to join our enthusiastic team based out of Goondiwindi, Qld. This is a great opportunity for an experienced farm worker looking for a change of scenery!

About the Role:
You will be working alongside our team of research agronomists in plant breeding and crop protection trial work. This is a field-based position and primarily involves working outside.
You will report to our Regional Manager and be responsible for:
- Operating tractors, small plot seeders, ute booms, small plot harvesters and other associated agricultural machinery.
- Crop maintenance tasks in paddock trials including field preparation, seeding, maintenance and harvesting, the safe application of fertilisers/chemicals and other associated tasks.
- Assisting with packaging seed/fertiliser for sowing and analysing grain post-harvest.
- Playing a role in the maintenance/modification of machinery when necessary.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with growers and clients.
Due to the nature of the role, there will be requirements for some overnight travel and additional work hours during seeding and harvest. Remuneration will be based on the skills and experience you bring to Kalyx. A company vehicle and phone are provided along with uniform allowance, 5 weeks annual leave and a host of other employee benefits.
About You:
The role will suit a positive, approachable, and driven individual with a passion for agriculture. You will also:
- Be a competent Farm Machinery Operator.
- Possess a current manual Driver’s License (Heavy Rigid would be a bonus).
- Work safely and effectively with agricultural chemicals or be willing to get accredited.
- Be an effective communicator who enjoys working in a team.
- Have confidence using technology (smart phone/computer)
- Demonstrate a sound work ethic and attention to detail.
