About the Role
This role will see you taking on the leadership of our Caringbah Farms property. Located 30km from Quandialla in NSW, the property has a total of near 11,000 ha and is part of our wider East Coast portfolio. This farm uses a blend of on farm staff and experienced contractors during peak seasonal activities.
In this role you will;
- Manage, oversee, and drive all on farm operations, ensuring optimal operations and production efficiencies that are clearly aligned to our overall strategic and annual cropping plans.
- Maintain the farm to high standards including plant and equipment, safety, storage and environmental requirements.
- Partner with our dedicated contractors during peak season, such as harvest, to ensure smooth overall operation of the farm.
- Lead, train and collaborate with your farm team and contractors to ensure, that together, they understand and follow the required operational and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Altora financial, agronomy and grain services teams as well as senior management to create a farm plan that reflects the strategy of Altora Ag.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring;
- A deep knowledge and experience of broadacre row cropping practices and management.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the operation and management of row cropping equipment and soil management.
- Attention to detail and the ability to quickly analyse and solve problems;
- A passion and high commitment to safety, the environment and your community.
- Intermediate computer software skill.
- A minimum of 5 years proven experience in related role.
- Full working rights in Australia.
