DM Stanich & Co are seeking a Farm overseer for their Mixed Cropping and Sheep Enterprise, located 25 km South of Pingrup, WA. The role would ideally suit someone who is well experienced (min 5 years experience) in the Agricultural sector and is looking for rewarding full-time work.
About Us
DM Stanich & Co is a family-owned and run mixed cropping and sheep enterprise established in 1963. We strive to create a work environment where people enjoy being and can grow in their roles. We currently crop 8,500ha of harvestable crops and sow 1,000ha to fodders that are predominantly grazed from the beginning of the sheep trading season.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and traits, as well as be capable of the following;
- Effectively manage and plan the farm's operations, including reporting and communicating reports to assist with administration.
- Allocate work, supervise, develop, and coach team members to ensure the provision of efficient and effective operations in line with the Company's mission and vision.
- Analyse and interpret historical data to ensure practical and timely operational decisions are made.
- Planning sustainable crop rotations to match production requirements.
- Assisting with pre-season maintenance of farm machinery and ensuring all machinery and equipment required for cropping is ready for operations prior to each season.
- Operation of farm machinery including, but not limited to, tractors, paddock preparation attachments, grain handling equipment, telehandlers, headers, airseeders, and sprayers.
- Managing the daily feedlot and livestock operations
- Manage the animal health, treatment, and general stock welfare
- Ensuring the farm is fully compliant with all policies and procedures and providing a safe and healthy working environment for all staff, contractors and visitors.
- Fostering a positive team culture with staff
