We are seeking a skilled, compassionate Drug and Alcohol Clinician who is committed to working alongside people with complex health needs to achieve their goals and improve health and wellbeing.You will need experience coordinating healthcare, and collaborating with a range of partner services, creating multi-agency support networks and care plans while keeping clients at the centre.We welcome applications from people who are trauma informed and strengths-focussed, with a commitment to facilitating access to healthcare for those who experience significant systemic barriers.This is a targeted position for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander candidates. - Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
- Degree or diploma in related health discipline with at least 3 years post qualification experience and registration with relevant professional body if appropriate.
- Demonstrated competence, knowledge and experience in providing community-based specialist assessment, treatment and care coordination services to people experiencing substance use and addiction, in addition to comorbid health and support needs.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to issues relating to homelessness, the principles of harm minimisation and trauma-informed care and the utilisation of a strengths-based framework.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with clients, multidisciplinary team and a range of key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical supervision, ongoing professional development and service improvement.
- Demonstrated effective computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record systems. Current NSW Driver’s License.
