Our client is seeking a passionate Farm Operations Manager to oversee 3,206 hectares of prime irrigation, dryland farming and improved grazing land. Reporting directly to the owner this is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to play a key role in the businesses continued growth and success.
You will:
- Lead a team, providing training and fostering a positive work environment.
- Oversee all farm management practices including cropping rotations.
- Ensure efficient water & infrastructure management and maintenance.
- Ensure farm efficiency, productivity & safety across all daily operations.
- Develop and execute production plans and budgets.
- Work closely with agronomists, contractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain and optimise state of the art farm machinery and equipment.
- Keep detailed records and reports on farm activities and production.
- Experience in farm management with In-depth knowledge of irrigation and dryland cropping.
- Effective leadership and training capabilities.
- Livestock management and handling experience (desirable).
- Strong problem solving, planning, and budgeting skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
