We collect construction materials from depots all over metro Adelaide and deliver to site around greater Adelaide and regional South Australia.

  • You empower your team members to take responsibility and ownership
  • You lead by example in attitude and integrity
  • You are willing to try new things and have an appetite for change

Who are you scheduling for?

Toretto Transport is a cross over between the construction and transport industries. We have been market leaders for plasterboard delivery in South Australia for the last few years and have recently expanded our services to other building materials. We are always looking for new opportunities to improve and grow.

What will you do?

As scheduler, you are responsible for the day-to-day labour operation of the business. It is a fast-paced environment and there are always problems arising on site. You will be finding solutions, win-wins and delivering for the customer. You will organise labour, efficiencies, manage costs and ultimately provide excellent customer service.

The overall responsibilities you carry are:

  • Manage the performance of the team and efficiently complete all deliveries
  • Ensure the team comply with safety procedures
  • Work with leadership to grow, improve and innovate.

Performance of the team

  • Delivering product safely and efficiently
  • Driving profitability and commerciality
  • Maximising resources (vehicles and team)
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Reviewing performance of team members to help them grow
  • Documenting additional charges and other information for invoicing.

Safety & procedures

  • Following policies and procedures
  • Conducting training
  • Leading toolbox meetings
  • Ensuring teams are fit for duty
  • Adhering to Chain of Responsibility
  • Supervising spot checks of depot, warehouse, vehicles and sites.

You will work closely with the operations manager in leading the team. You will also work with and be support by our office team including accounts, administrator and customer solutions manager.

How to stand out

No one person can be great at everything, but here are a few things that would be ‘nice to have’:

  • Previous experience in the construction industry or transport industry
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of Chain of Responsibility
  • Proven leadership of a team of 20 people or more

Are there any perks to being part of this team?

Yes! A bonus schedule for hitting KPIs is in addition to your salary. As scheduler, you will be part of our tight-knit leadership team. You will be able to influence the company and have a sense of ownership as you bring your ideas/experience to our business. You will be part of an SA owned and operated family business.

Our vision statement is:
“Courage: We are innovative and courageous. We set the pace in our industry.
Excellence: We believe in excellence, and everyone contributes to constant improvement.
Team: We value people and provide opportunities to empower them to grow.

Fun: We have fun and celebrate together. “

What's next?

We look forward to getting to know you. Please address your cover letter to the business manager and answer these questions:

  1. How do you lead a team / what is your style of leadership?
  2. How have you improved efficiency?
  3. What is your morning drink of choice?
