Our Condamine Feedlot is a modern 28,000 head facility located in the Western Darling Downs of Queensland, three hours from Toowoomba.About the RoleWe are looking for Feed Person to join our Mill / Feeding team at our Condamine Feedlot, Queensland.As a Feed Person, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Feedlot and maintain a high standard and timely delivery of commodities and feeding rations to cattle.Part of the job will also include:
Shed Loader Operation
? Perform prestart maintenance on machine
? Obtain sufficient supply of separate commodities for daily feeding.
? Load allocated amounts of commodity into Batch Boxes for delivery into Feed truck
? Operate computerised digital scales in loader.General Loader Operation
? Perform prestart maintenance on machine
? Operate loader for a variety of general tasks in the feedlot.
? Changing the attachments of the loader to suit particular tasks.Feedtruck Operation
? Perform prestart maintenance on feed truck
? Operate Digital Scales within feed trucks to receive allocated loads and nominated pens in feedlot to feed out ration.
? Mix and deliver the ration to the allocated pens as per the computer.Watertruck Operation
? Perform prestart maintenance on water truck
? Operate firefighter pump to fill water tank
? Operate water truck in the watering of roads to minimise dust.Tractor Operation
? Perform prestart maintenance on tractor
? Operate tractor and pen scrapper in feed pensBobcat Operation
? Perform prestart maintenance on Bobcat
? Obtain suitable attachment for the maintenance to be performed.
? Operate bobcat in areas of the feedlot.You will be a multi-skilled individual who has a genuine willingness to learn and interest in mechanical equipment and has good attention to detail while enjoying a variety of tasks and challenges.About You
Along with a “can do” attitude your skills and experience include:

• Full working rights in Australia
• No experience necessary
• Ability to carry out manual maintenance tasks and operate machinery
• Problem-solving skills
• Computer skills
• Ability to follow safe work practices
• Commitment to working in a quality control environment
• Enjoy working in a team, as well as on your own
• Commitment to ensuring animal welfare and husbandry standards are upheld
• Willingness to undertake required training and licensing, such as Boiler Operations, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, and Lock Out Tag Out
• Ability to work a roster system
• Be willing to complete a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test
• Be Q-fever vaccinated (or willingness to get)

What's in it for You?As a full-time, permanent employee, you will start work at 6am and finish at 4pm, on a roster of 10 days on and 4 days off (100-hour fortnights).

• Our Feed Person rates start at $30.14 per hour as per our Teys Australia Condamine Pty Ltd Feedlot Enterprise Agreement 2014
• Roles will commence in August 2024 and long-term work will be available for a period of between 12 months and 4 years
