Feedlot General Repairs And Maintenance

Bindaree Food Group's Myola Feedlot is a modern 20,000 SCU (Standard Cattle Unit) capacity feedlot situated in the heart of the “Golden Triangle” in northwest NSW and is 70km from Goondiwindi, 60km from Moree and 50km from Warialda. In this role you will complete day-to-day General Repairs and Maintenance in accordance with established programs and safety standards. While reporting to our experienced Assistant Feedlot Manager, you will;

• Execute overall property enhancements, repairs, and Maintenance.
• Ensure the upkeep of fences, yards, and pens.
• Perform steel welding, grinding, and cutting.
• Address basic plumbing issues.
• Carry out repairs on water troughs.
• Manage the maintenance, servicing, and repair of machinery and equipment.
• Supervise tool inventory, conduct quality standard reviews, and prepare order proposals.
• Develop plans for General Repairs and Maintenance projects and contribute to preventative maintenance programs for plant, equipment, and machinery.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintain cleanliness in the workshop.
• Fulfill any other duties reasonably requested by the Assistant Feedlot Manager.

Desired skills and experience for this role include;

• Above average welding skills and the ability to on-the-spot fabricate.
• Experience with machinery servicing and repairs is preferred but not necessary.
• Ability to work independently as well as cohesively within a team environment.
• Great time management skills with the ability to organise, multitask and prioritise.
